Rachael Leigh Cook wore at least two necklaces to a recent awards ceremony for Step Up Women's Network, a non-profit organization that works to strengthen community resources for women and girls. Her longer multi-strand necklace is yellow gold with a filigree pendant at its center. Two more gemstone necklaces have alternating beads. It isn't hard to get a similar filigree look, and you can spend as as little or as much as you like to do it.

Anna Popplewell looked gorgeous in the diamond earrings she wore to the Prince Caspian premiere and after-party. It's easy to get a similar look for lots less if you liked the shape, but don't need the diamonds - just replace the glitter with cut-out metal.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were just two of the celebrities who attended the gala for the opening of the museum's Superheroes: Fashion & Fantasy exhibit. Most of the women accessorized with earrings, including co-chair Julia Roberts. Some, like Katie Holmes and Maggie Gyllenhaal, wore necklaces. Scarlett Johansson gave a glimpse of her new engagement ring -- and her bracelet was stunning. And speaking of bracelets, Stella McCartney stacked on a few bangles -- it's not that often we see photos of the designer wearing much jewelry at all, other than occasional earrings.

After confirming her engagement to Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson slipped on her diamond solitaire ring before attending Monday night's Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala. The white/silver shimmer of her ring, her bracelet and the clutch she carried looked perfect against her Dolce & Gabbana gown.

Fashion designers who sent models down the catwalk in Sydney, Australia, last week weren't shy about tacking on jewelry and other accessories. One designer used facial rhinestones to add sparkle. Another put rhinestones in models' braids. And the jewelry? Some of it was the real thing and some of it was out there. Would you wear Christmas ornaments around your neck? Some baubles were big enough to give the women a Wilma-Flinstone-gone-bad look, but they did what they were supposed to do -- draw attention to the entire package as models took the walk.

She's grown up and she's married, but one glance at Anna Chlumsky is all it takes to recognize the pre-teen who charmed us all as Vada Sultenfuss in 1991's My Girl. Anna's been cast to co-star with James Gandolfini in The Loop, a political satire film. I love the delicate filigree earrings she's wearing in this photo, and found a pair that's almost a perfect match.

From there every style branches off into lots of variations.

I haven't always been a fan of animal prints, and I suppose I'm still resistant to some of them. But this spring's zebra, giraffe and other animal print bangles are different, more subdued or delicately shaped -- the prints don't pop out and smack you in the face, and they look good stacked with other bracelets. Try wooden bracelets with the organic-looking animal prints or a group of narrow metal bangles with the enamel versions.

Christina Ricci looks just right for her day trip to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach's 32nd Annual Pro/Celebrity Race. Her station necklace works well for a warm day in the spring sun -- it's sheer and lightweight, letting the rays and breezes flow through. What's the word for her look? Fresh I think. It's easy to get Christina's look for less.
